Plan now to attend an exciting array of classes.

Watch for our Home Decorating classes.  These will be such items as pillows (some easy and some with a good deal of creativity), table toppers, and table runners. 

On-Going Series

These will include Piece It, Quilt It, Bind It; and Skillbuilders, to name a a few.

Class Descriptions

 

Block of the Month:  This will begin in March 2008 with a paper pieced block.  Complete blocks with fabric kits can be purchased.  The pattern is free after the first purchase, IF the blocks for the previous month are completed.  You can also purchase just the first pattern, and choose your own fabrics.  Again, each additional pattern for the month is free, IF you complete the previous month's blocks.  You MUST pick up the blocks on the first Saturday of the month to receive the pattern free, with your completed blocks.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

Christmas Applique Quilt: Create a beautiful, fun appliqué Christmas project using your embroidery machine.

Embroidered Bear: 

This adorable white bear is so cute and cuddly, you'll want to embroider and personalize it for that special little someone in your life.  Great for a Christmas or birthday gift!

 

Lady Hawk Designs: Julie Hocker will be teaching us how to make her latest designed pattern.  This vest, aptly named "Tack Room to Tea Room" will literally go anywhere - from the rodeo grounds to a night on the town or afternoon tea with the girls.  It's all in the fabric choices - you are in control!  This unique vest is comprised of several simple to sew panels, which are assembled to create a one of a kind piece of wearable art.  Don't miss this opportunity to take the workshop directly from the designer herself!

Latte Quilt: 

Machine Mastery Classes (up to 8 sessions):  The Sewing Machine Mastery classes are designed to give you the training to use your Bernina sewing machine to it's fullest extent.  Those that purchase their machines from us receive the classes as a part of the sale. 

Many of you have sewing and/or embroidery machines and have not learned the techniques to use them to gain the most from them.  You can enroll in these classes. 

The fees are $75.00 for the Sewing Machine only and $100.00 for both the Sewing and Embroidery Machine.  Stop in the store to sign up and get your supply sheet.

These classes are designed for those with new machines to learn all the uses of your machine, but is also open to others that feel they do not get the most out of their machines. Classes are one to eight sessions, depending on the complexity of the machine.

 

Magic Quilt by the Slice: A play on the concept of a Stack and Whack but the finished product is awesome. Beginner to advanced.

 

One Block Wonder: One fabric, one shape, one-of-a-kind quilt.  You'll be amazed at how much fun these are to make.  Book required.

Painted Pots Wall Hanging: Create a miniature wall hanging machine appliqueing pots and vases using southwest or asian inspired fabrics.

Piece It:  For those that want to learn to quilt, we start with tools needed, cutting, sewing, and putting your top together. Follow this up with Quilt It and Bind It, and you will have this fully completed quilt, and be ready to try a lot of patterns.

Quilt It:  This class offers many tips and techniques to assure you a beautifully quilted quilt. Learn about free motion quilting, working with your walking foot, tips on types of batting. For both the beginner and the intermediate sewer or quilter.

Reversible Table Runner:  This is a “quilt as you go” project.  When you are done sewing it together, the quilting is also complete!  This is a great project for the holidays, i.e. use Fall fabrics on one side, and Christmas fabric on the other.

Sashiko Purse:  Sashiko by embroidery machine!  Use your embroidery machine to create beautiful Sashiko designed squares, then sew them together to make this unusual shaped tote bag. 

Serger Mastery: Is your Serger not being used? Many of us have owned Sergers or are new owners.   Take a series of classes to find out all this wonderful machine can do for you. All brands welcome. Five sessions.  A great class. 

This series will give you so much knowledge in using your serger, to get the most out of it. You will no longer just do the basics, you will learn techniques to be creative, do rolled hems, and numerous additional techniques. All brands are welcome.

Five Sessions:  $75.00

Sew Club and Embroidery Club:  Make a new project with us every month.  These classes give you the option of taking them on either a Saturday or Tuesday of each month. Learn fun and exciting new ways to use your sewing and/or embroidery machine, and take home a great new project.

Skill Builder:  This is another Machine Quilting Class designed to expand and sharpen your quilting expertise. We will be using the Skillbuilder book and quilting panel to learn a variety of quilting techniques including feathers, continuous line borders and blocks.

Software Mastery:  Do you own Artista Software? Learn about what is included in the software to get the most out of it. A series of five classes. Then join us for the Quarterly Software Society.

Spiral Table Topper:  This lovely table topper has an octagon  shape, and has place mats to match.

Sweatshirt Classes:  COMING SOON....Watch the calendar for dates!

Whole Cloth Quilts:  This quilt uses only one fabric for the top, but showcases the various machine quilting techniques you will learn in class.  Trapunto, feather circles, stippling, and free form designs are just a few.  This is a very fun, creative class.

New Classes are always being offered and samples are in the store.  Stop by and take a look!

The Creative Club Card is a wonderful way to take more classes at a fraction of the cost.  The cost for the card is $100.00 and has a value for classes of  $250.00.  With the card the owner is able to attend Sew Club and/or Embroidery Club as well as many of our other classes.  It is an opportunity to participate in more classes at a lower cost to you.  In the process you meet many nice people, and this makes the sewing you do that much more fun.  Look on our home page for more information.

Once each quarter we do Bring, Brag and Munch.  Show us what you have accomplished.  Share your ideas, hear what we have new in the store.  Meet other quilters, enjoy a light lunch together, and just have a good time.

Class Policies

It is essential to
pre-register.

Please register early to avoid disappointment.  Class size is limited to eight in our store. Supply lists will be provided at the time of registration and payment. We will make every attempt to have all supplies available in our store.

Take advantage of a
10% discount for all your supplies needed to complete in-class projects.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We must make a commitment to our instructors one week prior to the start of each class.  Refunds will be made for cancellations a minimum of one week before the start date.  A full refund will be given if class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, enrollees will receive a full refund.
